Mausoleum of Mao Zedong

Chairman Mao Memorial Hall is located on the central axis of Tiananmen Square. The south side of the Monument to the People’s Heroes is the memorial hall. Chairman Mao will sleep here, and every day he will come to see the visitors of his legacy.

The memorial hall has two floors. The first floor is mainly to pay tribute to Chairman Mao’s remains, and the second floor is the revolutionary performance memorial room. Generally, you can only visit one floor, and the second floor is generally only accessed through joining special groups.

First floor: paying tribute to Chairman Mao’s legacy

The first floor consists of three parts: the North Hall, the Standing Hall, and the South Hall. The North Hall is the place to visit the entrance and hold a memorial ceremony. If you buy chrysanthemums (3 yuan / stick) at the entrance of the memorial hall, you can enjoy it here.

Walk forward in order and come to the Hall of Views. This is the focus of this trip. Chairman Mao is dressed in a gray tunic suit, covering the banner of the Chinese Communist Party and lying in the crystal. Around the base of the crystal enamel granite, the party emblem, the national emblem, the military emblem, etc. are inlaid, and the atmosphere is dignified. Because it is a queue to see and see, can not stay in the hall, many people line up for an hour or two, only to see a few minutes of great people here.

Second floor: revisit the revolutionary story

If the organization is headed, you can see the statue and related photos, documents, and objects in the second floor memorial room. In addition, in the movie hall, you can watch the documentary “Nostalgia” for about 20 minutes.
